This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Benson Jr Sumalinog/go who was born in Philippines on December 14, 1977 and passed away on March 31, 2004 at the age of 26. We will remember him forever.

The lovely mountain where lowly sparrows feast, and one day outshines thousands elsewhere because you are there, my God.

The mountain close by, within, that I climb everyday; the holy ground I stand on now.
Light and truth, bright as blinding snow, whom Peter, James and John saw,"Lead me on, and bring me to your holy mountain, to your dwelling place."

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

THE BROWN BUTTERFLY
LAST NIGHT AROUND 8PM I WAS SITTING ALONE IN MY ROOM, I WAS PRAYING MY ROSARY, AS I LOOKED UP IN THE CURTAIN, I SAW A BIG BROWN BUTTERFLY, I JUST CONTINUE MY PRAYERS. I WAS TALKING ON MY MIND THAT IT MIGHT MY SON VISITED ME IN FORM OF THIS CREATURE , AS I FINISHED MY PRAYERS, I TOLD MY SON, JC NOT TO LET THE DOGS ENTER MY ROOM SO THAT THEY WILL NOT CHASE THE BUTTERFLY, I DONT WANT HIM TO DIE, I WATCHED HIM FLY AROUND THE ROOM, UNTIL HE CAME TO THE FAMILY CROSSSTICH HANGED ON THE WALL NEAR MY BED, WHICH I MADE YEAR' 96, HE STAYED THERE UNTIL I GOT TO SLEEP, I DREAMT MY SON WAS ALIVE. HE WAS IN OFF WHITE T-SHIRT AND SHORTS SO FULL OF LIFE AND HAPPY , LOOKING VERY HANDSOME, WE TALKED,LAUGHTED A HAPPY CONVERSATION,HE SAID HE IS LEAVING,I EVEN TOLD TO TAKE EXTRA CAREFUL SO THAT NO ONE WILL HURT HIM,HE NODDED AND YES MAMA,AT AROUND 3AM I WOKE UP I SAY MY 3 0'CLOCK PRAYER AND ROSARY,I STILL SAW THE BUTTERFLY ON THE CROSSSTICHED,THEN BACK TO SLEEP AGAIN, JUST NOW WHEN WHEN I LOOKED AGAIN HE HAS GONE. I SEARCHED FOR HIM BUT STILL I HAVE NO TRACE ON HIM,ITS CONFIRMED IT WAS MY SON VISITED ME THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE IN MY LIFE I CHERISHED.I LOVED YOU BENNY,THANK YOU FOR THE VISIT.MAMA,4/17/07

Memories of A Father to His Son

We have a chat on the phone with Papa Benson Sr. last night,one of the topic was our son Benny, Papa Benson was asking about theold dog of Benny the one in the picture Totsie, if it still alive,then he remembered when there were in Savannah,Georgia,2002 they were together for a few weeks in the ship for my husband finished his contract.I could feel the cracking of his voice,they were having a dinner in a little restuarant near the sea owned by an ex captain of the ship Filipino, he has a dog white German Shephed, and no one could even dare to go near the dog,it was only Benny, they were surprised because as if they were an old friends,Papa Benson Sr. said Benny was a lover of Dogs,yes I agreed with because when he was around our dogs would like to play with him,barking and very niosy,Benny was playful fellow, That was the first and last bonding of his father and Son,I know even if they little time they shared it was biggest joy in their life that no one can erased that memories.
