my son Benson jr or fondly call by friends "Bogs" Benny for us ,I remember him so well a nice guy and a big heart to us and friends before his death months before going to Manila, for his job was a seaman, our neighbor had a family trouble,a drunker husband who was a bit insame through drinking hard drinks who alway hit his a live in partner was was about to kill her this was really a very dangerous tasked for him, police has no help,no one ever dare to help,it was him who talked and calmed him he gae a spiritual advice that made him to be meek like a lamb. he surrender the bolo and to the police, I was proud of him for he has done a great job,the tragic happpened one month after he was gone to Manila to report to make the story short he was schedule to join in Singapore,Feb. 05 ,2004,it took us for while no communication ,this I felt my son has forgotten me, I just pray for him, march, I received a test from my sisnlaw that my son called her and giving his regards for me telling that he tried to called but he can not reached the call. March 26 was my birthday, three days after he texted, asking about my birthday ,the preparation,I replyed that it was a very simple celebration and it his way telling me he love me,and miss me,nothing unsual 2days after I received a call that he died allegedly suicide,I was shocked,I know him well he cannot do such things like that.prayer makes me stronger, there was a hearsay that there was someone who went to his room when he was asleep put a pillow on him until he loses his breath, then tied him down in the outside the accomodation ladder.I hope those concerned people may be guilty enough on what they have done.Beson jr is innocent and I know that they may be free of charge here on earth but they are accountable up there.may they may have peace on mind.....mary
THINKING OF YOU & YOUR LOVING FAMILY / ROSE GRMA TO ANGEL BRITTANY SYFERT
I am home in Heaven dear ones; Oh so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly Trod the valley of the shade? Oh! but Jesus' love illumined Every dark and fearful glade.
And He came Himself to meet me In that way so hard to tread; And with Jesus' arm to lean on Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely For I love you dearly still: Try to look beyond earth's shadows Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is still work waiting for you So you must not idly stand; Do it now while life remaineth - You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed He will gently call you Home; Oh the rapture of that meeting Oh the joy to see you come!
PEACE/ MAMA SUMALINOG (MY ELDEST SON )
The fruit of silence is PRAYER. The fruit of prayer is FAITH. The fruit of faith is LOVE. The fruit of love is SERVICE. The fruit of service is PEACE. -- Mother Teresa* "The Simple Path"
THE MIRACLE PRAYER / Mama^j^benny Sumalinog (mother) The Miracle Prayer Lord, Jesus, I come before you, just as I am. I am sorry for my sins, I repent of my sins, please forgive me. In your name, I forgive all others for what they have done against me. I renounce Satan, the evil spirits and all their works. I give you my entire self. Lord Jesus, now and forever, I invite you into my life Jesus. I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Heal me, change me, strengthen me in body, soul and spirit. Come Lord Jesus, cover me with your precious blood, and fill me with your Holy Spirit, I love you Jesus. I praise you Jesus. I thank you Jesus. I shall follow you every day of my life. Amen. Say this prayer faithfully, no matter how you feel, when you come to the point where you sincerely mean each word, with all your heart, something good spiritually will happen to you. You will experience Jesus, and He will change your whole life in a very special way. You will see.
Forgiveness to the one who hurts! / MaryS Sumalinog (my eldest son )
Anyone for mashed potatoes?
Mark 11:25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
A friend sent us this powerful anecdote and we wanted to share it.
“One of my teachers had each one of us bring a clear plastic bag and a sack of potatoes. For every person we’d refuse to forgive in our life, we were told to choose a potato, write on it the name and date, and put it in the plastic bag. Some of our bags, as you can imagine, were quite heavy.
We were then told to carry this bag with us everywhere for one week putting it beside our bed at night, on the car seat when driving, next to our desk at work.
Naturally, the condition of the potatoes deteriorated to a mushy nasty slime. The hassle of lugging this stinking thing around with us made it clear what a foul and heavy weight we were carrying spiritually.”
When we won’t forgive others, we’re really only hurting ourselves. Let’s let go of all our unforgiveness and release all our “potatoes” to the Lord. We need to get free so that we are able to do great things for Him! There’s so much work to be done!
A Letter for his Mom / Mary "inday" Sumalinog (mother) I received this message from my friend and I was touched and I like to place this in my son tribute, I feel also my son who wants this to be place...God bless.
'Dear Mom,
I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say 'I Love You'. I wil l always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know.
Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn't look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself took me to see GOD! And guess what, Mom? I got to sit on God's knee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important. That's when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good bye and everything. But I already knew that wasn't allowed. Well, you know what Mom? God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you. God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him where was He when I needed him?' 'God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children.
Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what I've written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper. Isn't that cool? I have to give God His pen back now He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm sure the food will be great.
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore the cancer is all gone.. I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery! How about that? < /DIV>
Our lives are sewn together with The thread of love and caring Our family ties are woven Out of patience, strength, and sharing.

And Jesus Christ said; WHOEVER HUMBLES HIMSELF AS A LITTLE CHILD IS THE GREATEST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. ( MATTHEW 18:4 *NKJV )
Dear Mary, In keeping with our Saturday tradition, today we will submit the following message I received from one of our Sister's in Christ, a few days ago. I though it worth sharing with you this morning. I hope that it will minister to you, as it has to me! ____________________________________
A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout. We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Target.
We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the World. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.
The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in "Mom, let's run through the rain," she said. "What?" Mom asked.
"Let's run through the rain!" She repeated.
"No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit," Mom replied.
This young child waited about another minute and repeated: "Mom, let's run through the rain,"
"We'll get soaked if we do," Mom said.
"No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning," the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm.
"This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?"
"Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, he can get us through anything!"
Now the entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes. Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say. Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith.
"Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If GOD let's us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing," Mom said.
Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars.
And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing.
Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take away your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take away your precious memories...So, don't forget to make time and take the opportunities to make memories everyday. To Everything There Is A Season And A Time To Every Purpose Under Heaven! ( Ecclesiastes 3:1 )
Now they say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. So Mary, take the time to keep in touch with your friends, you never know when you'll need each other -- and don't ever forget "to run in the rain!" Amen. "My First Christmas In Heaven" / Mama^j^benny Sumalinog (mother) GOD WILL WIPE AWAY EVERY TEAR FROM THEIR EYES; THERE SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH, NOR SORROW, NOR CRYING. THERE SHALL BE NO MORE PAIN, FOR THE FORMER THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY. ( REVELATION 21:4 *NKJV )
Dearest Mary, If you are suffering from the loss of a loved one this Christmas, the following message is for you. Also if you are not suffering from that loss, but know of someone who is, why not forward this message to them. For it has ministered to many over the past few years! It is called:
"My First Christmas In Heaven"
I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear But the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here. I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring. For it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart But I am not so far away, We really aren't apart. So be happy for me, dear ones, You know I hold you dear. And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I sent you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above. I sent you each a memory of my undying love. After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold. It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other, as my Father said to do. For I can't count the blessing or love he has for each of you. So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear Remember, I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. Author Unknown

The Ship of Life / Mama^j^benny Sumalinog (mother)
I found this poem and I love sharing this to all my friends, since his birthday is approaching.
The ship of life Across the shore awaits a boat Though sea's are rough, its still afloat
Raise the sails, held up by mast Forget the troubles of distant past
As wave crash down upon the deck Steady the boat; not quite a wreak
Tend the mast, and fix the scrach light the lantern with one last match
